How does FieldTap Connect work?

You send a connection request to another FieldTap organization using their organization name or email. Once they accept, you can share specific projects with them. Shared data syncs automatically between both organizations.

Is FieldTap Connect secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Connection requests require mutual acceptance - no one can access your data without your explicit permission. You can revoke access to any shared project at any time.

What permissions can I set on shared projects?

You can grant three levels of access: View Only (partner can see records but not modify), Contribute (partner can add new records to the project), or Full Access (partner can view, add, edit, and manage records). Permissions are set per project and can be changed anytime.

Does my partner need a FieldTap subscription?

Partners who contribute data need an active FieldTap subscription. However, you can share view-only access with clients who don't have a subscription - they'll receive a secure link to view the shared project data.

Is FieldTap Connect included in my plan?

FieldTap Connect is included in all Team plans at no additional cost. Professional plan users can receive shared projects but need to upgrade to a Team plan to initiate sharing.

Can I share data with organizations using other platforms?

FieldTap Connect works between FieldTap organizations. For partners on other platforms, you can still export data in 10+ formats (CSV, Shapefile, GeoJSON, etc.) or invite them to try FieldTap with a free trial.
